AOK9 Dog Camp started with a lifelong friendship, a shared love for dogs, and a big idea. Wayne, a retired K9 police detective, and Kevin, who has spent his life caring for dogs, joined forces with over 30 years of experience!
The result? A bright yellow doggy school bus turned into a mobile adventure, giving pups the exercise, socialization, and confidence they need all while having a ton of fun!
Wayne and Kevin are a dynamic, fun-loving pair who truly know dogs inside and out. From wagging tails on the bus to happy paws at home, AOK9 Dog Camp is all about making every dog’s day safe, joyful, and full of adventure.
The Heart Behind the Paws
Kevin Moriarty has been surrounded by dogs his entire life, and it shows in everything he does. With a deep passion and love for every paw he meets, he’s dedicated to giving dogs the care, attention, and affection they deserve.
From scheduling rides to pick-ups, and drop-offs, Kevin runs the day-to-day operations of AOK9 Dog Camp, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. His lifelong experience with dogs has shaped him into a trusted caretaker who truly understands their needs and personalities. Guided by Wayne, Kevin has gained even more insight into dog behavior and training.

Wayne: Our Pup Expert
Wayne Papovitch has been around dogs his entire life—often several at a time! His love for dogs started young and only grew stronger over the years. Along the way, he learned from experienced trainers and animal behaviorists, which eventually led him to a career in law enforcement. There, he founded a K9 Unit program that operated from 2002 to 2020, handled three working police canines, and became a New York State Police Certified Canine Trainer and Observer, training hundreds of dogs throughout his career.
After retiring from law enforcement, Wayne’s lifelong passion for dogs and dedication to their care inspired the creation of AOK9 Dog Camp.
